The Role:
The launch material coordinator will play an integral part in shaping the future of the body shop. They will execute deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. They will guide one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives. Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers. Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Plan and execute complex storage solutions for launch material
Analyze lean material strategies to setup future processes for material drivers
Manage full life cycle of launch material (ordering, storing, delivering, scrapping)
Floor planning and execution of new/changing material for Body
Build management including incoming material, TWOs, kitting and line side presentation
Manage Appointed UAW Material Team
Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the Material systems and Manufacturing processes
High level of ability to work independently and create innovative solutions.
Demonstrate analytical ability and problem-solving capability.
Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills
Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed
