**Chemical Operator** Manufacturing York County, SC, US + Added - 12/11/2025 Apply for Job Pay Rate Low: 22.00 | Pay Rate High: 24.00 **Chemical Operator** **Type:** Contract-to-hire **Rate:** $22 - $24/hr dependent on experience **Location:** York County, SC **Shift:** 2nd and 3rd Available **Summary:** The Chemical Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production. **Key Responsibilities:** + Operate and monitor process systems (reactors, distillation units, filters, pumps, centrifuges, etc.) according to standard procedures. + Load and unload raw materials and finished products. + Adjust controls, valves, and instruments to maintain proper temperature, pressure, and flow. + Record process data, equipment readings, and shift activity. + Troubleshoot and report equipment or process issues. + Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks. + Collect samples and verify product quality. + Operate forklifts and handle drums or containers safely. + Follow all safety, quality, and environmental (HSEQ) requirements and wear appropriate PPE. + Support other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED required. + Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment preferred. _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
