Job Description

The BCH Outpatient Psychiatry Service offers comprehensive evaluations for a wide range of conditions that affect the mental, emotional, and social health of children and adolescents. New patients receive a diagnostic evaluation and specific treatment recommendations tailored to the child and family.

The Clinical Social Worker in Outpatient Psychiatry will be responsible for:

• Providing clinical social work services to assist patients and families cope with complex personal, family, medical and environmental problems.
• Performing psychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses and developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans.
• Providing clinical supervision to student interns.

To qualify, you must have:

• Master's degree in Social Work, LICSW, with a minimum of 2 years of Social Work experience required
• Experience with children/adolescents and medical environment is highly desirable.
• Previous social work supervisory experience ideal.
• Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Spanish language skills strongly preferred.
