Copywriter

Note: Love Advertising has a hybrid work policy requiring weekly time in our physical office. This is not a remote position.

You’ve got a way with more than just words. You’ll concept big ideas and collaborate closely with art directors and strategists to deliver work that works. You’re research-driven and will form a deep understanding of our clients and the complexities of their industries.

The creative brief is just the starting point. You’ll turn insights into impactful ideas and challenges into measurable, meaningful results. Our copywriters are equally comfortable in the B2C and B2B space.

What you’ll do:

• Write for a variety of mediums: video, radio, print, digital, email, social and web
• Develop award-winning concepts for advertising campaigns
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, partners and a cross-functional creative team
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines consistently and professionally
• Find opportunities to elevate the creative in projects big and small
• Craft a unique voice for each client, frequently switching your writing style to meet the project
• Show off your various formats of writing (long-form, headline, etc.)
• Present work internally and externally

What we’re looking for:

• 3-7 years of ad agency or in-house experience
• A strong portfolio that showcases great copywriting, creative concepts and examples across a range of industries
• Available to work in-person in Houston, or willing to relocate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with art directors, designers, producers and other members of the cross-talented agency team.
• Working knowledge of writing for web and digital
• Polished presentation skills and the ability to sell your work
• Can-do mindset with an eagerness to keep learning

Growth Path

At Love Advertising, we believe in homegrown talent and promoting from within. In this position you will learn from ACD and CD writers and art directors with regular reviews of your work and ongoing mentorship. Typical growth of the Copywriter position is to Senior Copywriter then Associate Creative Director.
