We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Calabasas, California. This role is perfect for someone passionate about creating and managing data solutions that drive business success. As part of this long-term contract position, you will work on designing, implementing, and optimizing data systems to support large-scale operations in the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient data pipelines and workflows using ETL processes to handle large-scale data.
• Utilize Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka to build and optimize distributed data systems.
• Write clean and effective Python code to create scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
• Perform data modeling and ensure systems are structured to support analytical needs.
• Manage data storage solutions while ensuring security and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data systems to maintain performance.
• Conduct testing and validation of data systems to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance data engineering practices.
• Document processes and workflows to maintain transparency and facilitate future improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Python programming, especially for data-related tasks.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

• Experience in data modeling and implementing data storage solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
