Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Data Governance and Master Data Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our data governance framework and master data management (MDM) strategy. This role will serve as a key liaison between IT, business, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Lead MDM initiatives focused on high-quality, trusted data sets, including but not limited to product, customer, vendor, and clinical trial master data.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and data quality rules.
• Configure MES/ERP software to meet specific production requirements, ensuring system scalability and reliability. Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot MES applications and related infrastructure.
• Oversee data quality management efforts, including profiling, monitoring, cleansing, and remediation.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for regulatory and compliance-related data requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA, GxP).
• Implement tools and processes to manage metadata, lineage, and data cataloging.
• Support analytics and reporting initiatives with reliable and consistent master data.
• Partner with IT and data engineering teams on MDM architecture, integrations, and platform enhancements.
• Drive adoption of data governance policies through training, change management, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in data governance, MDM, or data management roles; experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and regulatory requirements in biotech/pharma.
• Experience with MDM tools and data governance platforms (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Collibra, Alation, etc.).
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
• Proficiency in MES/ERP platforms (e.g., Siemens SIMATIC IT, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Dassault DELMIA, Wonderware MES, SAP ME). MES systems like POMSnet, Koerber PAS-X, Siemens OpCenter, QAD etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, .NET).
• Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, SQL, or VBA
