Job Description

The virtuous cycle of NVIDIA’s accelerated computing thrives on a deep engagement with developers. NVIDIA offers many libraries, tools, APIs, and frameworks for developers to leverage accelerated computing for faster results and lower energy consumption.

The NVIDIA developer marketing group is looking for a developer advocate who understands data science workflows and the data science ecosystem. You should be passionate about engaging with the community by building well-documented inspirational demos using tools used by the developer community.

Our team is focused on growing the developer ecosystem that builds applications on NVIDIA’s developer platform which includes not just tools from NVIDIA but also ecosystem tools that are often open source. We need a candidate who understands developers and can work with the data science developer marketing team on launching new technology.

Do you have the rare blend of both engineering and marketing skills? We need hard-working and creative people who are excited about teaching our developer community how to leverage accelerated computing. If you aspire to this calling, we would love to learn more about you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a Developer Advocate, you will create impactful and relevant content (e.g., demos, blogs, presentations, videos, etc.) and engage with developers, researchers, and students at events online or in person.
  • You will work with the product marketing team to launch emerging technology, write code, and share it with the community to inspire developers.
  • You will be active on public-facing NVIDIA channels, including forums, discord, and social media, helping developers understand our demos, and encouraging them to build their own applications.
  • Some travel may be required to present at trade shows, hackathons, and conferences.

What we need to see:

  • World-class communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of articulating the value proposition of an emerging technology. Experience presenting to technical audiences and writing developer-facing content. You will be asked to provide samples of prior work.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from a leading university in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of industrial experience or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of data science workflows, APIs, and common algorithms that data scientists use for analyzing and/or visualizing data.
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience building demo applications that utilizes popular tools such as XGBoost, Scikit Learn, Pandas, and RAPIDS.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Hands-on experience with popular tools used by the data science community such as RAPIDS, Scikit Learn, Pandas, XGBoost, CUDA, Apache Spark.
  • Master's degree from a leading university in software engineering or computer science.
  • 6+ years of combined experience in a technical role such as data scientist, data engineering, and data analytics at a technology company.
  • Experience in creating large datasets for training Large Language Models (LLMs), and/or Vision Language Models (VLMs).

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you are creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you!

The base salary range is 120,000 USD – 195,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
