Engineering Supervisor - Power & Infrastructure Focus

📍 U.S. Based | Full-Time | Oklahoma City, OK

I'm currently partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing engineering services firm that supports major utility and infrastructure clients across the country. They're seeking a skilled Engineering Supervisor to help lead key technical teams and projects within the transmission, distribution, and substation engineering space.

This is a full-time leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in both project delivery and people management-and is passionate about making a tangible impact in the utility sector.

About the Role

This position blends technical oversight, responsible charge engineering, and day-to-day leadership of a team of engineers and designers. The supervisor will guide project execution, contribute to strategic planning, support recruiting efforts, and collaborate closely with senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering execution of utility and infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development for engineering staff.
  • Serve as a technical authority for solving complex engineering problems.
  • Oversee scheduling, task assignments, and project delivery within budget.
  • Approve timecards and expenses; assist with annual performance reviews.
  • Support recruitment efforts and participate in interviews and onboarding.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (required).
  • Degree from an ABET-accredited program (preferred).

Experience:

  • 6+ years of engineering experience with increasing project or team leadership responsibilities.

License:

  • Professional Engineer ( PE ) registration required for Transmission/Substation focus.
  • PE preferred for Distribution focus.
  • Strong reasoning, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead tactfully and influence decisions in a collaborative environment.
