As an Estimator II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting the estimation process and playing a crucial role in determining technical solutions and project costs for building automation and controls projects. This position ensures the accuracy and competitiveness of project bids, supporting the growth and profitability of our organization. If you are an experienced in building solutions, join us as an Estimator II and become an integral part of our estimating team. You will report directly to our Estimating Supervisor and you'll work out of our Bentonville, Arkansas location on a 3+2 Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our estimating operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, analyze project plans and specifications, and develop accurate cost estimates for building solutions projects. Your expertise in building systems, construction methods, materials, and costs will be essential in ensuring the competitiveness of our project bids. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Lead and support the estimation process for building solutions projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and develop cost estimates + Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and identify potential risks + Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs + Review and validate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy + Participate in bid review meetings and present cost estimates to senior management + Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies related to building solutions estimating BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL: + Benefits - Medical, Vision, Dental, Mental Health + Paid Vacation + 401k Plan/Retirement Benefits (as per regional policy) + Career Growth + Professional Development YOU MUST HAVE: + 4+ years of experience in proposal engineering and estimating, or technical design, engineering or commissioning, preferably in the building solutions industry + Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, materials, and costs + Proficiency in using estimating software and tools + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills + Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously WE VALUE: + Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering, Building Services, or a related field + Strong leadership and decision-making skills + Attention to detail and accuracy + Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines + Excellent organizational and time management skills + Continuous learning and professional development mindset ABOUT HONEYWELL Honeywell International Inc.
