Join our mission-driven team as a Lead Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist and help support high-quality patient care through expert data oversight, compliance, and leadership.
Your Role & Impact
As the Lead HIM Specialist, you’ll guide and support the HIM team in maintaining accurate and secure healthcare data. You’ll lead audits, ensure compliance, and manage medical record requests while supporting MyChart and Digital Health Ambassador initiatives. Your leadership will help streamline operations and uphold the integrity of patient information.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of professional experience in a HIM department
Proficiency with electronic health record systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Understanding of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule
Bonus points if you’re bilingual in English and Spanish or have experience with MyChart or digital health initiatives!
Desired Qualifications
Associate’s degree in health information technology, management, or related field
Two (2) years of health information management related experience and demonstrated understanding of required knowledge, skills and abilities
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience working in a healthcare environment and with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems

The pay range for this role is $23 - $32.20 on a hourly basis.Pay transparency: If you are hired at TrueCare, your salary will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience.
