Position Title: Market Index Services Analyst
Location: Greenwich, CT.
Status: Contract - 6 to 12 months, with the opportunity for possible conversion to permanent/full-time employment with the client.
Status: Remote.
Shift / Schedule: TBD.
Pay Range: US $40 - $70 /hr W-2.

Requirements / Who we are looking for:

Our client is seeking a Market Index Services Analyst responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining financial indices used in investment products like ETFs, mutual funds, and derivatives. They work with financial market data, research index performance, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years in financial analysis, market research, or index-related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, or data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of index methodologies, ETFs, and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

In this highly visible role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Ensure accurate calculation and maintenance of financial indices.
• Monitor corporate actions (e.g., stock splits, dividends) and adjust indices accordingly.
• Collaborate with index providers (S&P, MSCI, FTSE) to implement methodology updates.
• Analyze financial markets, index trends, and economic indicators.
• Evaluate index performance and develop reports on market movements.
• Conduct backtesting and scenario analysis on index strategies.
• Work with large datasets from Bloomberg, FactSet, or Reuters.
• Generate reports and insights for clients, investment managers, and stakeholders.
• Develop and improve index methodologies to enhance investment strategies.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (SEC, IOSCO).
• Monitor risks associated with index-linked investment products.
• Support due diligence on index construction and data integrity.
