We are looking for someone who is courteous, personable, organized and detail-oriented to join our team. We are a one doctor private Optometric practice located in Raritan, NJ. We pride ourselves on providing personalized care for our patients. Customer service and/or administrative assistant experience is preferred. Proficiency with computers is a must.

Job Duties Include:
Answering phone calls and retrieving/returning voicemail messages.
Triaging and scheduling patient appointments.
Verifying and authorizing insurance benefits.
Patient check-in and check-out.
Performing administrative tasks as requested by doctor, such as sending emails or faxes, mailing out monthly statements, etc.
Pulling and preparing charts for scheduled appointments.
Filing patient charts away.
Maintaining patient confidentiality as dictated by HIPAA.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Cross-training in basic Optometric skills to assist Technician or Optician when needed.
Posting of insurance payments to patient accounts.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
45 min paid lunch break daily: 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
