Description WORK LOCATION: Huntsville, AL FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $26.11 to $33.77 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.
Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry Level Procurement Analyst to join our team. This role is designed for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within the procurement function, with a specific focus on learning related Department of Defense (DoD) regulations. As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting and performing duties related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of our organization’s operations and products we build and deliver.
Responsibilities The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best prices and ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services.
- Contract Negotiation: Assist in evaluating and negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and DoD regulations.
- Purchase Orders: Process and track purchase orders and requisitions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring the right quality and contractual clauses are in the PO.
- Financial and Regulatory Compliance: Learn and apply the required legal regulations to the procurement process, ensuring all activities comply with Company Accounting and Procurement Policies.
- Communicate: Discuss status with requestors and management as shorts, delays, or component obsolescence surface.
- Coordinate: Support Accounting to ensure compliance with billing and taxation with invoices.
- Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field or equivalent job experience.
- Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience: Previous internship or entry-level experience in procurement or related area.
- Learning Orientation: Willingness to learn and grow as a team member in working with other business functions.
- Long-term Goal: Develop expertise in DoD contracting regulations to support the company’s growth and development of internal best practices.

Clearance Requirements This position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Work Environment And Physical Requirements The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment.
