Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include: Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. Requires one to three years of work experience. Serves as a clinical resource for staff on their assigned shift or unit. Coordinates patient care and delegates duties and responsibilities to staff and holds individuals accountable for outcomes achieveJob activities are fairly complex and highly diversified but are structured within a predefined work routine. Involves the exercise of judgement in the analysis of facts or conditions regarding patient care or hospital problems to determine what action should be taken within the specifications of standard practice.First line supervisor over a group of employees or a unit. May initiate disciplinary action and provide input into a subordinate's performance evaluations. Instructs workers in normal operational tasks. Includes department managers of small departments.About our Health System North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 178-bed general acute care facility boasting spacious, private rooms for all patients, a 24-hour emergency department, medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals also operates the region's only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W.
