Visa: USC/GC/H1 Transfer Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Architect to manage and drive the successful delivery of data products and solutions within our modern enterprise data engineering group. This individual will lead a team of data engineers and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure seamless data delivery that meets business needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical knowledge in modern data platforms (preferably Azure and Snowflake), excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions in an Agile environment.
Leadership & Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers responsible for building, testing, and deploying data pipelines and solutions.
o Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
o Coach team members on best practices in data engineering and Agile delivery.
• Delivery Management:
o Own end-to-end delivery of data products, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and high-quality deliverables.
o Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize work, and align delivery with strategic goals.
o Monitor team velocity, manage risks, and proactively resolve blockers.
• Stakeholder & Business Interface:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for internal clients and business partners regarding data engineering initiatives.
o Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Technical Oversight & Hands-on Involvement:
o Provide technical guidance on the design and implementation of data pipelines and architectures.
o Be comfortable jumping into hands-on development when needed to unblock issues or guide the team.
• Agile & Process Excellence:
o Champion Agile methodologies and contribute to the continuous refinement of delivery processes.
o Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• 12+ years of experience in Data Architect with at least 3 years in a leadership or delivery management role.
• Proven experience leading delivery of enterprise-grade data solutions in Agile environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with business, technical, and executive stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
• Must-Have:
o Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and/or SSIS.
o Proficient in data pipeline orchestration, ETL/ELT concepts, and performance tuning.
o Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data modeling.
o Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, or other modern data warehousing tools.
o Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD practices in data projects.
o Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data catalog tools
o Experience with Snowflake as a cloud data platform.
o Exposure to DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformation logic other similar tools
o Experience in Banking or Financial sector
