Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/WIW) at Hanscom AFB MA.
As a Senior Systems Engineer your duties will include the following but are not limited to:
Provide Systems Engineering assistance that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering to the acquisition process.
Provide engineering support in the design, operation, and sustainment of systems and components that cover tasks throughout the acquisition life cycle (requirements analysis through system disposal).
Conduct comprehensive program portfolio reviews to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, enhance systems engineering processes, manage and sustain technical baselines, and design/perform system-level tests to ensure subsystem and system performance aligns with approved specifications.
Review and evaluate alternative plans, systems engineering programs, designs, and test results to verify subsystem and system performance compliance with program specifications.
Prepare technical documentation defining and recommending system/subsystem characteristics, management reports, and technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions, applying engineering economy principles.
Perform system validations, including criteria and procedure development, and analyze/evaluate major engineering system results.
Provide engineering, technical support, and training for programs/initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, evolution, deployment, fielding, installation, and operations oversight.
Support risk management activities in alignment with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processes.
Conduct formal trade studies considering engineering performance, effectiveness, cost-performance balance, lifecycle cost, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.
Offer technical recommendations through reviews, studies, audits, evaluations, analyses, procedural guidance, and documentation, supporting engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Analyze proposals to compare and quantify technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost-effectiveness of proposed systems and components.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and at least 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD
Experienced in requirements development, production and deployment, and operation and support, architectures development & implementation, modeling & simulation including but not limited to Model Based Systems Engineering principles, verification & validation, technical data package development and sustainment, and principles of configuration management
Experience with network architectures, embedded systems and application deployment across a variety of systems and hardware, to include cloud deployment and virtualization
Familiarity with DoD Acquisition processes including Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, Engineering Manufacturing and Development, Production and Deployment activities
Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations including live aircrew training/development of tactics, techniques, and procedures and Range Infrastructure architectures and systems are desired
Active Secret Clearance is required
Must maintain clearance at required level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program along with at least 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD

Sala ry Range $125,000-$145,000
The salary range information is a general guideline only. Several factors can influence the salary for a position including but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, geographic location, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity.
