About the Role

As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) , you will play a vital role in providing pediatric treatment in the area of Speech Therapy. Your work will adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with all applicable state laws, ensuring that every child receives the best care possible.

  • Total Annual Earning Potential: Equivalent to $70,000+ in your first year!
  • Base Compensation: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour based on experience, skills, and geography

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct treatment for pediatric clients and their families
  • Continuously evaluate client needs and collaborate with the supervising Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to help each client reach their potential
  • Communicate effectively with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents to provide an effective program
  • Document all treatment sessions daily and maintain organized client files
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, including clinical staff and IEP/IFSP meetings
  • Develop instructional materials and evaluate commercially produced materials for treatment
  • Stay current on the latest developments in speech therapy through seminars and literature
  • Keep a careful record of billable hours and submit timesheets on time
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • State Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • 1-3 years of experience in Pediatrics
