Staff Accountant

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $76,000–$80,000+ annual salary
• Full time, exempt
• W2 employment

ROLE IMPACT
As a key member of the Accounting Team, the Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, supporting month-end closings, and helping the organization optimize fiscal operations. This role contributes directly to compliance, cost control, and decision-making by delivering consistent and GAAP-compliant reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage AP, AR, payroll, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee bank statement reconciliation and assist with tax filings
• Handle AP payment processing, vendor inquiries, and 1099s
• Perform month-end close, maintain schedules, and post GL journal entries
• Review customer waivers, AR cash receipts, and pre-lien oversight
• Support inventory counts and 1099 preparation
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field
• Working knowledge of US tax regulations and GAAP
• Excellent verbal/written communication and leadership skills
