Job Description

Description Robert Half is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join one of our clients in the [insert industry, e.g., tech, healthcare, nonprofit] industry. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. + Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and other adjustments. + Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. + Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions as needed. + Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies. + Assist with payroll entries and employee expense reimbursements. + Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reports. + Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and schedules. + Assist with special financial projects and process improvements as assigned. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 1+ years of professional experience in accounting; internship experience considered. + Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems. + Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). + Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting processes. + Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
