Job Title: Surgical Coordinator
Location: New York, NY (10002)
Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $20/hr
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Surgical Coordinator for an exciting job in New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all OR surgeries and procedures from scheduling through post-operative follow-up.
Verify patient demographics and obtain necessary pre-certifications and authorizations.
Obtain medical clearances required prior to surgery.
Address patient questions, concerns, and scheduling-related issues.
Place surgical confirmation calls to patients prior to their scheduled procedures.
Schedule post-operative appointments with providers.
Serve as a liaison between referring physicians, surgeons, and internal teams to ensure accurate communication of clinical and scheduling information.
Train and mentor new or junior Surgical Scheduling Coordinators as needed.
Prepare, collect, and distribute all necessary paperwork to facilitate surgeries.
Enter hospital reservation and pre-admission information into electronic medical records systems (e.g., CERNER).
Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail in all scheduling operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of surgical scheduling experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
