Job Description

Island ENT is looking for someone who will come to work with a hungry spirit to make our business thrive through building the audiology practice. We see a variety of patients but have a heart for hearing restoration. Dr. Clark is a proficient ear surgeon and loves cochlear implants. Most of our days are pretty normal, several audiograms and some device demonstrations and sales. During quiet days we would love someone who is willing to be part of the office team and help where needed. Sometimes that may be visiting other providers and telling them how wonderful you are. We want you to connect with our patients by providing compassionate care. We strive to make our patients feel like we listen to them. Our support staff are wonderful and really try to make our providers happy. We are looking for full time but can work with part time of at least two days, but they would be packed and busy. We would consider either a salary position or hourly, plus commission.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of auditory health and be skilled in conducting diagnostic evaluations to assess hearing and balance disorders. As an Audiologist, you will play a crucial role in improving patients' quality of life through effective communication and personalized care.

We work with all major brands of hearing aid devices and desire that our patients get individualized care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, including hearing tests and balance evaluations.
  • Cochlear implant evaluations, BAHA demonstrations, and programming. We work mostly with AB but also with Cochlear USA.
  • Utilize diagnostic evaluation techniques to determine the nature and extent of hearing loss or related conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
  • Provide counseling to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, treatment options, and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including Otolaryngologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Educate patients on the use of hearing aids and assistive listening devices, ensuring proper fitting and follow-up care.
  • Stay current with advancements in audiology practices and technologies through continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the auditory system and physiology of hearing.
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique for clinical procedures.
  • Familiarity with computerized systems for patient management and record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Previous experience in an office setting is preferred but not mandatory.

We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about enhancing auditory health to apply for this rewarding opportunity as an Audiologist. We offer a generous base salary plus bonus based upon experience, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, Licensure Reimbursement, Flexible Schedule and QSEHRA(health insurance reimbursement) and a Sign-On Bonus. Hours are Monday - Friday - 8AM - 5PM.

We are willing to consider a Hearing Instrument Specialist as well. We would actually love to be able to support both an Audiologist and an HIS to have a busy and productive business.
