About the Role

As a Staff Accountant /Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and monthly reporting. You’ll work closely with property managers and leadership to ensure accurate financial tracking across all real estate holdings. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Record bank and credit card transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Perform daily , monthly and quarterly reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Process and maintain tenant billing and rent roll records
• Generate financial statements and ad-hoc reports
• Collaborate with property management and operations on budgeting and expense tracking
• Assist in annual audit and tax preparation processes
• Maintain organized records in accounting software and document management systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in real estate or property management
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Yardi, and Sage Intacct preferred
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
